Perry Ellis Spring 2012 at New York Fashion Week

Having always been affectionate towards the Perry Ellis brand, I had to go see their latest runway hosted during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in the Big Apple. Since Mister Ellis himself was a gay veteran during his era, has made it big into the Fashion industry in the '70s and '80s but has unfortunately died of AIDS complications, Ellis is now considered an icon. I have immense respect for this brand which I consider a lot more refined and classier than its Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren counterparts.

The American exclusive line has presented its new temperate collection which features a lot of beige, coral red, cyan yellow, navy blue and brown. I like the outcome which is chic yet could easily be worn both in an office or on the street on a casual busy weekday. I also like the fact that the pieces appeal to both young men but also men in their '40s and '50s who still like to look good and take care of themselves. These clothes should be part of the whole grooming process :-P. Also notice the presence of one of the cutest munchkins ever: Sean O'Pry
