Movember Ends Tomorrow...

Movember (November) ends tomorrow and I couldn't be happier! Of course I understand that a lot of us men want to support that cause (conceived by Australians back in 1999) which is to collect charities for research on male sickness such as prostate cancer but at the same time, isn't it f-ugly to grow such a humongus mutant moustache during the whole length of the month?!

Personally, I couldn't even think about growing a moustache because not only would my skin itch like hell, I'm also a waiter and no restaurant would dare have waiters flaunting such bulky moustaches in public and serve customers with them. Not only doesn't it look clean, it also looks ridiculous! If you plan to grow a moustache but that you trim it and groom it, I say go for it but if you intend to just let it monopolize all of the space available under your nose and sideways, I say HELL NO. A moustache can truly ruin one's face! Just take for example Terrine's younger brother; he's one of the cutest-looking young men I know and he let his moustache grow for Movember. Well it turns out he looks a thousand times less cute now as he now sports a pedophile look.

Being a man myself, I'm afraid of prostate cancer! That's why I think the Movember Foundation is a brilliant idea but I'm still unsure of the whole moustache-growing thing. I also don't really understand how simply growing a moustache will bring awareness of funds to the foundation. It's not like we're going to give money to all the men we bump into in the subway that have a moustache?! It cannot really be compared to "défi têtes rasées" where people collect funds prior to shaving their heads for a cause. I'm afraid the concept of Movember has to be implemented and framed in a way that men (and women) understand more the reason why they're growing a moustache other than fooling around with it.

Song of the Week (Nov. 27th. to Dec. 4)

This week's winner is a song from Duran Duran's last album All You Need Is Now called "Girl Panic". I just love the song! It's glossy, British and ecstatic! The video is overly fabulous with '90s Supermodels playing the band. These models are all super famous (and wealthy): Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Eva Herzigova. In addition to the music video's glamorous touch, I need to point out the fact that the whole stage set had Swarovski chrystals inlaid here and then. Go check it out!

Unhate Benetton's Campaign!!!

Pictures are worth more than words and this assumption is being validated by Benetton's latest campaign (which will probably be banned by the way)! Their soon-to-be-pulled-off ad campaign was entitled "Unhate" and featured world leaders (political figures) kissing. This involved a certain level of homosexuality, surrealism and impossibility. Indeed, you'll be able to see the photoshopped faces of Barack Obama kissing the president of North Korea and Hugo Chavez (the president of Venezuela) and Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy make out. I think the best pic is definitely the one with the leaders of Israel and the leader of the movement for Palestine's independence share a kiss (Benjamin Netanyahu and Mahmoud Abbas respectively).

The executive deputy chairman of Benetton, Alessandro Benetton who presented the ad in Paris two weeks ago said that "the images are very strong, but we have to send a strong message. We are not wanting to be disrespectful of the leaders ... we consider them "conception figures" making a statement of brotherhood with a kiss". I agree with him; it's fiction, don't freak out, the intention isn't bad either. The group is said to have planned a serie of live actions intended to bring young people together to post the photos of the horny leaders "on the walls of locations symbolic of the desperately-needed peace process: Tel Aviv, New York, Rome, Milan, Paris."

The United Colors of Benetton have a long history of controversy and turmoils but I just love it. I think progressist movements such as these whether they come from political figures, independent people, corporations or celebrities are very appropriate for the era we're in as society as to continue to evolve and people have to stop freaking out when others use mockery to testify of their disappointment with political leaders.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Damn the 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion will be aired this tuesday!!! Are you excited?! I am. I watch this show every year since 2007. I actually began watching it on an annual basis after mega Supermodel Gisele Bündchen dropped her contract with them (back in 2006). This year's show will probably be just as exciting as the previous years if not more. I'm just kind of sad that my ultimate favourite Ana Beatriz Barros won't be part of it. The list of featured models is long and goes as follows:

Some of these models' careers have sky-rocketed in the past and they're still there to team up as the "angels" of Victoria's Secret. This year's fantasy bra's value is estimated to be around $2.5 million and will be worn by Aussie beauty Miranda Kerr. Big artists such as Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and the Maroon 5 will be performing throughout the whole length of the show. Can't wait to see that! I was wondering what you guys thought of the models featured on the VS runway was eager to know which one was your favourite! My poll is posted below:

Stress, Final Exams and Lack of Sex (or Love Life)

I'm writing this down for all of us who are in this ugly period called "final examinations" where we're all so stressed and tensed that a shortage of coffee could lead all of us to a breakdown. I'm one of you, don't worry! It's been two weeks that I haven't really slept and in fact, I was so exhausted two days ago that I went to bed at 6pm and woke up at 11am the next day!!! I guess that's undeniable evidence that I was deceased! Can you believe that I slept 17 hours straight?! Lol I guess I needed it!
I'm also writing this down for all the people who have never been to University or College and think students are lazy and not doing shit. Think again 'cause you should face the facts: these students will have been to school something like five more years than you and have studied subjects a lot more difficult and abstract than High School's gym classes. We should (I'd like to write "will" but it would be too utopic) have higher salaries, social advantages and bonuses than you either. Which is the main reason why school is a good avenue to encounter when you're not ready to hit the freeway.

Wut I did in London Last Summer...

Hey all! Since I never wrote an article talking about what I did in London last summer but felt like sharing, I decided to list down all of the fun things I did! Here are the HIGHlights of my stay in the Brit capital:
  • Saw how disappointing Fuckingham Palace looked like
  • Dipped my feet into the Lady Di memorial fountain
  • Had picnic in Hyde Park
  • pAArtied with friends at our youth hostel (Smart Russell Square)
  • Hooked up with a guy from Colorado in Russel Square (lol)
  • Rode the “Underground” on a daily basis during the entire length of my stay
  • Replayed the scene of Prince Bald William and Kate’s wedding in front of the Westminster Abbey
  • Teased the royal guards who sport them huge furry helmets (two of’em were black!)

Song of the Week (Nov 21st to Nov 27th)

Whoa Shakira bedazzled me with her cover of French singer Francis Cabrel's smash hit "Je l'aime à mourir"! Y'all have to listen to it and notice how beautiful it sounds! Her voice seems so far away and aerial... I just love it! It's very sentimental and has the power to increase blood circulation through my carotid (lol)! No one but Shakira could have done a better cover of that song. Plus I love the fact that her version is bilingual; the first part is sung in Spanish and the second in French. Enjoy!

And here's the original version with a cheesy background and lyrics so that you guys can free-style Karaoke on it and then sing it to your beloved one and in case you don't speak French fluently, can try to lie to that person lol!

In-a-Relationship Drama Queen

Okay last week I had the worst date ever possible. Lemme explain myself. Two years ago, back when I was still at Cégep and had a lot of spare time, I used to go out at Cabaret Mado quite often as there’s a good show, the booze doesn’t cost too much, all my friends like that place plus you get to fire burn it on the dancefloor after the show is done. As I mentioned it in my article called “Drag Behavior”, I dated one of the drag Queens from that cabaret two years ago.

What I may have omitted to mention in that article (or didn’t?!) is that at the party that I attended at that drag Queen’s mansion was a flamboyant boy who was chasing me all night. That twink, whose name I won’t name, is pretty active in the village and can be seen pretty much anywhere, anytime as he’s a cunt extraordinaire who likes to flaunt his over-the-top hairdo and bitchy face to anybody who dares cross his path.

Anyways, enough with all the useless details (talk is cheap, just like me), that twink has been chasing me since the last two years and since I knew fo’ sho’ that he only wanted to nip it in the bud with Rodzilla himself, I felt like the game was already played and didn’t like it that much. Therefore, I refused all of the advances he’s made to me and hadn’t seen the bastard since that last party until last week. What happened is I was on a dry spell of sex (or hence, lack thereof) and terribly needed to let go of all that testosterone and androgen that was boiling inside me and making me lose my hair (Rogaine, I love you). That’s when Rodzilla was so bored with his overly busy student life and decided to opt for a Facebook chat pause.

Last Halloween Party

Okay I know I'm posting this incredibly late but hey, don't mess with me; I was really busy with my job, school'n shit ya know. Anyways, I'm gonna tell you all about what happened at the Halloween Party I attended on October 29th. That very night, I had to go work at my job (Italian restaurant with guidos and guidettes) disguised and then attend that party where I'd have to disguise myself once more. Of course, all my friends know me so well and know I'm such a sloth, they would have thought I'd have kept the same costume for both work and the party but Rodzilla being the sweaty bastard that he is, he had to stop by his house to change wardrobe.

As the party was to be held at Larah's mansion on the South sho' and that it was gonna be a big open-house party, I was excited for it for about a month prior to the party. Larah and her close friendz all dressed like the Sailor scouts from Sailor Moon; Jizz dressed as Sailor Jupiter, Merry as Sailor Moon, Cherryka as Sailor Mercury, Larah as Sailor Venus and Drea as Sailor Mars. They had asked me to be part of their crew and to dress like one of the male characters. For those of you who don't know anything about Sailor Moon (BTW: U ain't missing on anything), there's only two male characters on the show, that is: Tuxedo Mask and Moonlight Knight. As one of their baklava male friend had volunteered to dress up as Tuxedo Mask, I was asigned to the latter so-called Knight of the Night (what a pun!).

What is absolutely funny about Moonlight Knight is that he wears a weird kind of body suit that looks a lot like baklavas' (Arabs) costumes worn in the Middle East. And as some of you might already know after reading my article entitled "Baklavas", I love'em baklavas; both the pastries and the men. All of my friends found my attire overly hilarious as I looked like a terrorist and the idea of such costume seemed to come from out of the blue while in reality, I was part of the Sailor cast which didn't make me an outsider (lolz)! Fabulous Andy, K and Terrine have had the privilege to see me first and all laughed their asses off trying not to wake up my parents from their sweet dreams!

B-Day Celebration

Okay so last October 29th was my B-Day and I got to celebrate with my closest friends which was more than awesome! I even got a call from Norway; my friend Nizza called me to wish me "Happy Birthday". I couldn't even believe it! I'm still so thankful to her to have called me!

As you will be able to read about it soon, I pAArtied real hard on the saturday of my birthday since my friend Larah had organized an open-house party at her place as her parents were gone to Lebanon. That night, I didn't take off from my job even though I really didn't feel like working but since my boss had told us to dress up for Halloween, I thought it would be funny to get to work there disguised.

But enough about that already as I want to write about it in my next post! Anyways, that's how on sunday, october 30th, my friends were invited to have dinner with me at a brand new Asian restaurant called "Mongolian Hot Pot" on the Taschereau strip. I had never eaten there but my friends K and Jizz had told me it was yummy. That's how I got the idea to book a dinner there as I knew it wasn't jam-packed on sundays and that it would be both healthy and cheap.

Song of the Week (Nov. 7th to Nov. 13th)

Hi y'all!!! It's been such a long time since I last wrote goddamnit!! I'm so sorry; Rodzilla's been busy with all sorts of exams and term projects at school and didn't have any time to sleep nor write. But hey, the good side to this is I've had some time to live new things and experience some funny shiz. I'll tell you all about my Halloween weekend which was quite eventful lol! This week's song winner is Ciara's "Gimmie Dat" because it's very sexy, catchy and the hook "I've been gone for too long now it's time I bring it back" summarizes fairly well what I'm trying to explain with this post. Enjoy!!!
