Song of the week (June 11th to June 17th)

Damnit I am hella excited for this week's winner!!!

The song of the summer is no else than Call Me Maybe by Canadian-born Carly Rae Jepsen! At first, I liked the song and the more I listened to it the more I knew it would be an instant hit and would smash all of our radios the whole length of the summer! Was I right or not? Well until now it seems like The Big Dog was right!

Hey, I just met you, this is crazy, but here's my number, call me maybe!

This line sounds awkward and reminds all of us of our teens when we didn't know shit about anything related to relationships or even sex lol! But the truth is this kind of thing works but just make sure not to say "this is crazy"; you'll sound even sillier! Just say: "Hey I just met you, you're a cutie, here's my number, call me maybe". That would be deemed acceptable and be part of #teamnofeelings. If you call yourself crazy in front of your potential mate, you are screwed and chances are you won't be screwed by him nor get the chance to screw him! So to hell with it!

Here's the official Carly Rae Jepsen video featuring hot-as-fuck Holden Nowell pulling a gay dude out of himself:

Here's the Abercrombie & Fitch version with sizzlin' cute fucks! I need to say that the sexy mulato dude at  1:17 is the one I saw at their main store in NYC back in December 2011!!!!:

Here's another cheesy version with a cute A&F dude:

Song of the Week (June 4th to June 10th)

Ohlala traveling has never been that exciting! Asia is tha shiz! I am so thrilled and ecstatic these days that the only songs I can listen to are tunes that'll have the clubs blastin' and the merrymakes even merrier.

This week I am offering you a back-in-'01 song from my friend Shaggy. That's it: Angel is our winner. This song reminds me of when I was 12 years and super innocent, jolly and didn't beg for anything else than the summer sun roasting my cheeks. That's also pre-acne, adolescence, libidough, WHOREmones, University stress, international travels, before I even spoke English and before I grew up to be over 6' haha! So much has happened ever since then but guess what: Rodzilla is still a scrawny little blond boy from the South Shore of Montreal who just happens to be a fan of Shaggy!

Song of the Week (May 28th to June 3rd)

This week's pick is a FAVOURITE of mine since a long time!!! I can't stop listening to it I'm telling you! 'Tis da shit mon! I'm a fan of Bob Marley and believe his music along with his philosophy of life, talent, religious beliefs, bed partners and culture ROCK. Reggae is my darling music and it's in my new outlook on life to just lay back, relax and listen to Reggae as soon as I get the blues instead of becoming depressed, sad and frustrated.

At the end of this live performance of Stir It Up, Bob talks about God and his spiritual beliefs. Despite him being seemingly high in the vid from the '70s, Bob is so inspiring and glowing from within. The Japanese subtitles might also be helpful for some of you... Myself excluded haha! ENJOY!

Song of the Week (May 14th to May 20th)

This week's winner is oh-so smooth and loveable! My friend K made me discover it through a burnt CD she was playing in her Jetta lol! It is no other than The Veldt by Canadian-based Deadmau5 featuring Chris James who I'm guessing is a guest vocalist or a relative to Deadmau5. The result is astounding!  I also really like the animated video with cute little monkeys! Posted below is the extended version in case you like it so much that you can't stop playing it! Genießen Sie!

Songs of the Week (April 30th to May 6th)

For the upcoming week I decided to be original and give you guys two songs for the week.

Since I'll be done with my last exam, a bit exhausted but incredibly ecstatic to leave the country for two months, my heart will be "beating like a jungle drum", which is why I have you Jungle Drum by Emiliana Torrini.

Furthermore, I'll be in Paris by April 30th, accompanied by two fabulous Asian divas (one is only a quarter but it still counts) and since we're pretty ghetto, we'll be like niggaz in Paris. Which is why I gave you Niggas in Paris by Kanye West feat. Jay-Z.

Song of the Week (April 23rd to April 29th)

This week's winner is Inna Modja's latest hit I Am Smiling! The young Malian singer seems to be releasing hit after hit since her last summer's French Cancan which became a huge sensation in France!

I love this new song of hers because it's kind of jazzy, accoustic and yet catchy! I love the fact that Miss Modja masters both French and English just like Rodzilla. She also sounds very optimistic and festive in this new song. I actually like singing about me smiling as I just can wait until I'm done with exams and away in Europe, Asia and the West Coast! The weather here has been really weird this last month and it's currently very grey, cold and rainy!

I think Inna Modja might relevantly revolutionize love with her last album Love Revolution which is all about kind words, sweet melodies, honey and sugar. I love Inna's breathy, sultry and low-pitched voice. Enjoy!

Song of the Week (April 2nd to April 8th)

Spring has arrived y'all!! Rodzilla is in a very good mood and feels like partying and letting go! Unfortunately, he still needs to pull his shit together and study in order to have okay grades at his final exams before he leaves for another summer getaway!

This week's winner is pretty darn awesome! Must of you guys might already be familiar with them as they've become pretty huge in the last few months and are about to become the Backstreet Boys of the years 2010! Aiming from their Brit roots, here comes One Direction! I may not be 12 years old anymore but hell do I wish to be again! I guess all the Elementary School students must be swept off their feet by hearing songs like that!

I know it makes me sound like a pedophile but I actually find all of these guys very cute! They're not that young anyway and it's not like Rodzilla is 35 y.o. so don't call me a pedophile! Enjoy What Makes You Beautiful! And let's hope it does indeed make you beautiful (ahaha)!!!

--> Oh and I need to mention the fact that some young girls have gone into hypothermia by waiting for a whole night outside to get hands on tickets for the One Direction concert in Montreal!!! How goddamn crazy?!

Song of the Week (March 26th to April 1st)

I'll be nice this week and won't post anything to tease you guys for April's fool! I'm in a pretty good mood as I quite my job with my mean bastard of a boss and am now free to spend all my money and time with friends and impoverish myself by the mean time!

This week's pick of choice is pretty darn good! I actually think it'll be the hit joint of the summer. The song is performed by no one else than American sensation Nicki Minaj and is called Starships. I love the summer vibe, the easy-goingness and catchy lyrics of the songs! There's also a dubstep mix after the chorus which makes the song even more of a hot mess. Enjoy!

Song of the Week (Feb 27th to March 4th)

This week I'm sick okay. I came back from Cuba last sunday and was icnredibly sick! I've had a bad cold for about a week now so I need some incentive to prep things up and chill a bit, ya know. That's why this week's winner is a southern-inspired song that everybody dances to in Cuba and every Spanish country: Danza Kuduro.

That's it, this song performed by Don Omar and Lucenzo is just contagious. I love it and so should you. Listen to it guys and tell Rodzilla what you think about it! It should heal your wounds! Enjoy!

Song of the Week (February 6th to February 12th)

This week I chose the latest song by David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj as the main vocalist. You guessed it right, the winner is "Turn Me On". I really like this song, I think the vocals sound almighty and involved instead of just sounding like any other Pop artist. I had heard Nicki Minaj's rap verse on the radio but thought the remaining vocals were performed by another singer but was stunned to learn that Minaj is actually performing both the rap and singing parts of the song. Seems like Minaj has a few tricks up her sleeve and more talent than other normal female rappers!

The video clip that supports the song is even more appealing than the song itself! I like the fact that they made it kind of like a futuristic utopia (it reminds me of the novels we had to read for our enriched English classes at High School!)! Anyways, enjoy!

Song of the Week (Jan 30th to Feb 5th)

Whoa this week's winner is a hell of a smoking hot pick. It's none other than "Burning" by Mia Martina. I don't know if you've hear it before but I think it rocks! It's playing over and over in my head since the last few weeks. The songstress looks so exotic that I thought she might be Arabic or Latina but she's in fact a French-Canadian from the province of New Brunswick lol!!! Can you believe it?! I can't. Especially since it means she speaks French but she must have an incredibly thick accent as them people in the maritimes, they speak like a lobster is stuck in their throat and causing them to choke to death.

Anyways, I don't know about you but even though it's freezing cold here in Quebec, "I'm burning burning burning burning just like a fire, burning burning burning burning for you tonight" ;-)! Enjoy lil' dinosaurs!

Song of the Week (Jan 16th to Jan 22nd)

I'm excited to tell you that my pick for this week is no one else but Coldplay (!). I know nobody would expect me to be a fan of them, which is actually a fact but I can still appreciate their music and style. The song of the week is Paradise by Coldplay. I love, love, love the pace of the song and its rhythm and kinda find it appropriate for the winter season as we're all vedge and hybernating and are daydreaming of a warm and sunny "paradise" lol! I also love their elephant costumes as they remind me of the small puppets we had at elementary school lol! Enjoy!

Song of the Week (Jan 9th to Jan 15nd)

Hi y'all!! Sorry if I haven't posted since last week! Ah school and dating! Anyways, I'm pretty thrilled to have narrowed down my picks for this week's winner song. I will share with you my joy and anticipation with Amy Winehouse's latest discovery from her posthumous "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" compilation album: "Our Day Will Come". I believe this song's rhythm and vibe sounds festive and positive and could almost be appropriate for the Christmas holidays that just passed! I like to think of that song as a self-projection in the future and how we foresee it. This latest album from Amy Winehouse's discography is always playing in my car while I'm driving carefully to make sure I survive this winter where we're getting hit with snowstorms and ass-cold weather (-30)! Enjoy y'all!!!

Song of the Week (Jan 2nd to Jan 8th)

This article marks the first time I'm blogging in 2012! Curiously enough, it seems like the end of the world hasn't arrived yet! The proof is: Rodzilla is still there to write to you ;-)! I wanna start this year fresh and fun with a song that entails what I have in mind: don't let yoself be fooled by them people who claim that 2012 is the end of the world lol! That's right, it's cool 'cause I got it like that, I'm a player. And this week's winner is "2012 (It Ain't the End of the World)" by no one else but Nicki Minaj and the cute British baklava Jay Sean. Enjoy y'all!!!

Song of the Week (Dec. 26h to Jan. 1st)

Hey Hey Hey!!! This week is a special one (duh)! No-brainer here but hey, I'm really hoping all of my faithful readers and occasional readers are having a very Merry Christmas just like Rodzilla is. Here in Gaybec, we are having a white Christmas so need to dream of it. I chose two videos for this week as it encompasses both Christmas and new year ;-). Also, these two videos and songs feature the extremely hot, talented and newly mother of two diva: Mariah Carey. Y'all need to watch the remix version of the classic Christmas torch "All I Want For Christmas Is You" featuring the recently puber Justin Bieber. No other song can better express the feeling of excitement and anxiety that takes its toll on us on new year's eve but "Auld Lang Syne". Enjoy little dragons!

For the record: This year I have the privilege to spend the holiday season with my favourite Norwegian and fabulous booty extraordinaire Nizza who flew all the way from Norway to London and then to New York to reunite with The Big Dog. Jeg elsker deg ;-)!

Song of the Week (Dec. 12th to Dec. 18th)

I now love Sean Kingston just as much as I love Mariah. He is tha shit! A year ago or so, one would have questioned me about Reggae or Jamaican culture and I wouldn't have been able to claim anything except than Bob Marley, Marijuana and the colours of the country's flag. Henceforth, I worship Jamican culture and especially its music and dance!

I think Sean Kingston is the new Bob Marley. He may not sing about the same topics, have the same lifestyle or be as iconic, he still does rock. I like the fact that he seems light-hearted and so much fun. His music sounds very free and inspiring to me. I also like the fact that he's chubby but doesn't care about his weight or image. Let's talk about that! As a image-obsessed person, I try to surround myself with images of your everyday people instead of models and perfectly fit beauty bombshells. Sean is the answer to that calling.
I wanted to post his overly contagious joint "Letting Go" featuring Nicki Minaj as song of the week but realized it's already been it last April. That's too bad. Me Love is probably one of his happiest and jolliest tracks ever which is the reason why I chose it as song of the week. Hope you enjoy!

Song of the Week (Nov. 27th. to Dec. 4)

This week's winner is a song from Duran Duran's last album All You Need Is Now called "Girl Panic". I just love the song! It's glossy, British and ecstatic! The video is overly fabulous with '90s Supermodels playing the band. These models are all super famous (and wealthy): Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Eva Herzigova. In addition to the music video's glamorous touch, I need to point out the fact that the whole stage set had Swarovski chrystals inlaid here and then. Go check it out!

Song of the Week (Nov 21st to Nov 27th)

Whoa Shakira bedazzled me with her cover of French singer Francis Cabrel's smash hit "Je l'aime à mourir"! Y'all have to listen to it and notice how beautiful it sounds! Her voice seems so far away and aerial... I just love it! It's very sentimental and has the power to increase blood circulation through my carotid (lol)! No one but Shakira could have done a better cover of that song. Plus I love the fact that her version is bilingual; the first part is sung in Spanish and the second in French. Enjoy!

And here's the original version with a cheesy background and lyrics so that you guys can free-style Karaoke on it and then sing it to your beloved one and in case you don't speak French fluently, can try to lie to that person lol!

Song of the Week (Nov. 7th to Nov. 13th)

Hi y'all!!! It's been such a long time since I last wrote goddamnit!! I'm so sorry; Rodzilla's been busy with all sorts of exams and term projects at school and didn't have any time to sleep nor write. But hey, the good side to this is I've had some time to live new things and experience some funny shiz. I'll tell you all about my Halloween weekend which was quite eventful lol! This week's song winner is Ciara's "Gimmie Dat" because it's very sexy, catchy and the hook "I've been gone for too long now it's time I bring it back" summarizes fairly well what I'm trying to explain with this post. Enjoy!!!

Song of the Week (Oct. 1st to Oct. 8th)

I'm so thrilled to post this on my father's birthday! He just turned 50 y.o.! Congratulations to him for being half a century old and still look kind of young. I better had inherited these genes and look great when I'm old otherwise I'll be incredibly pissed!

I don't think my dad would approve of my choice for this week's winner but I know that he would at least get a funny alligator grin on his face and be like "damn that's my son" lol! My dad sure knows I'm one hell of a crazy bastard and like weird and extravagant stuff! Okay so as you might have figured out, the song that I picked as "winner" ecapsulates some sex ad funny agents. It's none else than "Sexy and I know It" by LMFAO. I just love this song and find it hilarious! I also got to know through the video that singer Redfoo actually has a fairly hot "pâté" and is in fact quite hot lol! I think the best line in the song is "and when I'm at the beach, I'm in a speedo tryin' to tan my cheeks"!! We also get to see Redfoo's "tranbär" giggle in his speedough...! Anyways, hope you enjoy! I'm sexy and I know it!

BTW: Happy Birthday Dad!
