Tragic & Unfortunate Death

I have been very saddened and shocked to learn that French stylist Laurence Renard died last week in New York City. The circumstances surrounding her death are even more dramatic; she was fatally hit on February 25th at around 6h00 pm by a dump truck during rush hour on the Upper East Side. So so sad. Renard was 35 and at the climax of her career; she was working with famed American photographer Bruce Weber, did styling for the Victoria's Secret campaigns and had been working on Abercrombie & Fitch ads.

Laurence Renard was well-respected in the Fashion industry and was a hard-working businesswoman. She was married to a restaurateur and was spending half her time in Manhattan and the rest in Miami. She was a devout to the Kabbalah and did volunteering work at the Kabbalah Center in midtown New York.

Renard died on the spot since it was such a major collision. Afterward, passersby needed to block other cars and people from running over her body. The truck driver, Diego Tapia-Ulloa, 23 from Newark, NJ has been arrested for not having a valid driving license. Can you believe that not only did he not have a valid driving license, he was driving a garbage truck and couldn't drive safely enough without hitting pedestrian stylists?! What a total asshole.

My prayers will go to her and her family. What an unfashionable and disastrous end to such a talentful and beautiful life?!
